the age of 22, he authored the coffee-table
fishing book, The Australian Atlas of Fishing,

ties with newspapers and has had articles appear

much about the sizzle as the sausage. His columns
are informative, fun and keenly read.

DAVID
PIKE is an Electronic Engineer by profession
but has had a continual interest in things
automotive ever since he first obtained his
driving licence. A foundation member of the North
Shore Sporting Car Club where he competed in car
trials, hill climbs and time trials, his first and
only motor racing trophy was won at the old Mount
Druitt racetrack in one of the club events. Around
this time he soon found that to compete in motor
sport you either needed to be very rich or have a
wealthy sponsor, neither of which applied in his
case meaning a curtailment of these activities.
Even so he has continued to maintain his interest
in automotive engineering especially in relation
to the use of electronics in this field.
