Roman is a legend in the Australian aftermarket business.
Roman’s Auto-Tek business designs brilliant showcars built to an
immaculate standard. While the project cars are generally too
extreme to be used on the road, they aren’t so far removed from
reality as some rather weird looking concepts. Thus the public can
connect with them.
So when the organisers of the Melbourne International Motor Show
were offered the chance to display this Monaro-based beast they
grabbed at the chance. With doom and gloom being preached from all
directions and the car companies all exhibiting sensible,
functional cars on their stands, the show guys beamed in delight
and said Yes Please! The result was a show stealer in Melbourne,
all the more so because it's based on an Aussie icon, the Holden
Monaro.
Working with renowned race-car builder Paul Halstead, Roman came
up with this sensational Monaro. There's no point in us launching
into a description of it when the pictures are worth a thousand
words. But just look at the steeply sloped windscreen, chopped
top, the ground hugging lower bodywork and the huge guards with
the big air slots they create. Simply sensational, isn't it?
