Pleased with the success of its new Q5 compact SUV Audi has
introduced exterior styling packages to allow owners to
personalise their vehicles. The ‘Off-road Styling Package’ is
aimed at giving the Q5 a more ‘outdoor’ look, or a sportier
appearance with an ‘S line’ package.
The Off-road Package uses squarer front and rear bumpers, side
grilles and door capping strips. Nineteen-inch wheels are
contained within and there are wheel arch extensions. This package
has an rrp of $5830 when added to the 3.0 TDI and 3.2 FSI Q5
models, and $7850 for the four-cylinder 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI
models.
While the Q5 isn't really aimed at real off-road work it has more
than enough ability to traverse forest trails, go on trips to the
beach, and other family adventures, so the new off-road styling
option sits well with those who see it as more than a suburban
runabout.
The Audi ‘S line’ has been around for quite a while in Audi
passenger cars and looks neat on the SUV. It also gets new front
and rear bumpers in a sporty shape, as well as a rear diffuser.
The S line package comes standard with 19-inch five-spoke alloy
wheels. The lower sections of the front and rear bumpers and door
capping strips are painted in the body colour. The front grille
has vertical chrome bars. There are chrome-plated exhaust
tailpipes on the four-cylinder engine variants and S line badging
on the front guards.
The interior gets S line door sill trims and badges, black cloth
headlining and S line inlays in brushed aluminium. All models also
get front sport seats with lumbar support when choosing the S line
package, which is in addition to the electric driver seat already
standard on V6 models.
Pricing for the Audi Q5 S line package is $6390 when added to the
3.0 TDI and 3.2 FSI Q5s, and $12, 030 for the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI.
