Ford has introduced a special edition version of the G6 Falcon
that comes with almost $4000 of additional equipment at no extra
cost. With a driveaway price of $36,490, the G6 Limited Edition,
Ford Australia says it gives almost $13,000 of net retail value
compared to the standard G6.
The exterior of the G6 Limited Edition is enhanced with 18-inch G
Series alloy wheels, there are specific colour accent treatments
on the upper and lower grilles that give it a standout frontal
appeal. That's enhanced by foglight bezels and rear bumper insert.
'Limited Edition' badges tell others you are driving a Falcon
that's out of the ordinary.
Inside, leather-detailed seat trim and a leather-wrapped sports
steering wheel add a touch of sporty class. The steering wheel
carries audio and cruise control buttons with a satin alloy finish
to add to this feel. The use of iPod and Bluetooth mobile phone
integration makes for greater convenience and should provide
improved safety.
Also on the safety front, the Falcon G6 Limited Edition has six
airbags, including side curtain units.
Interestingly, the G6 Limited Edition isn't sold only with the
Falcon straight-six petrol engine, it is also offered with the
E-Gas dedicated LPG engine and accompanying four-speed automatic
transmission. When the E-Gas option is chosen, the Falcon will be
fitted with 17-inch sports alloy wheels to differentiate it from
the petrol G6 Limited Edition model.
The dedicated LPG E-Gas powertrain is sold as a $2000 option,
while a $2000 government grant from the LPG Vehicle Scheme is
available to eligible customers purchasing a new LPG vehicle.
