SUBARU FORESTER COLUMBIA

By EWAN KENNEDY
11 January 2010

Subaru Australia opened the bowling for 2010 on January 1st. While other marketing gurus were enjoying a well earned rest following the tumultuous financial events of 2009, Subaru came up with an interesting spin on automotive retailing. It partnered with global clothing company Columbia to produce a special edition called the Forester X Columbia.

Aimed at the sporting buyer, the Forester X Columbia has a plethora of lifestyle accessories – roof cross bars, a cargo tray and a sensible rear step panel. These are teamed with 16-inch alloy wheels and foglights and special Columbia badging to produce a package that won't be hit for six. All the more so because the recommended price of $33,990 puts a real spin on the package. And that's the final price, because all dealer and government charges are paid for by Subaru.

Best of all, included in the price is a voucher for $500 from the Columbia merchandise.
